What is Travel Soccer?

The Travel, or Select Soccer program is designed for the player who enjoys soccer and desires to play the sport at a higher level. Travel Soccer identifies, through a tryout process, those players with the desire and ability to play the game at a more competitive level. When combined with a good coach and the right learning environment, most of our Travel players significantly improve their skill level and find the sport much more enjoyable.

Travel Soccer is not for everyone. It requires more commitment than Recreational Soccer in both time and expense for players and parents. Travel players who participate in other sports, such as baseball or basketball, should understand that when conflicts arise, it is expected that soccer be given first priority over the other sport, for both practices and games. This will allow for consistent development of the players and team.

Yet, for most players the commitment pays off as their love and appreciation for soccer grows right along with their skill level. An added plus is the close friendships they develop with their teammates. Even most parents admit that they get caught up in the excitement and enjoy watching the games as much as their children enjoy playing.
